Tanjung Puri Should Be Developed

Tanjung puri is a beautiful park that located in Sidoarjo precisely in jalan lingkar timur, bluru kidul. Before tanjung puri become a wonderful park, it was place of landfills amounted to 2 hectares that full of various rubbish. There are many disgusting items which smelly and dirty but DKP Pemkab Sidoarjo changed all negative perspective from other people about this park. They tried harder to modify this place be a beautiful park in Juny 2014 and all of scrap heap was clean because they planted several of plants. Actually, a lot of positive changes happened to this park but there are three bad things that make tanjung puri should be more developed.

            First of all, this park only has a little greening. Even tanjung puri had many trees and several flowers in each side but lots of trees and various kinds of flowers are cut down recently. It makes the situation of this park be hot and unpleasant to be a rest place. Then, there are few shady trees in some areas and it also lots of insects that disturb people who visited this park. Imagine if you’re resting on a pendapa at this park and then many insects were approaching on you. Of course it will make people not feel comfortable at all to rest in this place. So, the park guards are better to diligently spray using anti-insect sprayer in every corner of the park.

            Second, the thing that disturbs the visitor in this park is the bad service from the people around this place. Even some of the park guards in this park friendly and welcome the visitor quite well but there are not a few of them who unpleasant with the visitor especially for some cleaning service and parking guard that often be unpleasant with the girls. Honestly, they also known as catcalling who always teasing woman with very disturbing treatment. Therefore, the park guards in this park should be more polite with the visitor and the appeal for woman to not come at this place alone to avoid crime and also sexual harassment.

            The last, even there are some several facilities of this park such as pendapa, joglo house, gazebo, Islamic prayer room, fishpond, and some place of bird’s cage but many facilities hasn’t available in each spot. Surely, it will make the visitor doesn’t has place to rest. Then joglo house and pendapa also less comfortable because there are some garbage around that space and many scribble with writing that is not worth to read. Moreover, tanjung puri should add better facilities again and also give a warning sign for everyone to keep this park clean.

            Finally, tanjung puri must pay more attention to the conditions of lack of facilities, reforestation, and also the services of park guards because it will improve and develop the facilities that already available in this place. In addition, the visitor also can help to take care of this park with throw trash in its place and don’t damage the facilities that provided in tanjung puri.
